Fire Rick Reilly: A Manifesto
Of course, this site has a precedent. Many in fact. Most importantly, the immortal FireJoeMorgan which of course everyone knows and loves. They also dabbled in their so-called sports meta criticism, or whatever they called it. I will post on topics other than Rick Reilly. There is no set theme to them, but that may evolve. Still, this site first and foremost is for the purpose of (further) exposing Rick Reilly as a hack.
I’ve been doing this on my own for some time now, writing him angry e-mails deriding his latest columns. But this is a man who makes $10 million to spew crap, so what does he care? Anyway, check out my deft unmasking of Reilly’s ugly face, and perhaps you’ll be inspired to write him an angry e-mail as well. And then you’ll tell a friend, and he’ll tell a friend, and so on and so forth. And since ESPN is so heavily and inexplicably invested in this man, he probably won’t get fired, but maybe, just maybe, it’ll make him feel like shit, in a way that only a man being paid $10 million for something he compelety sucks at can feel like shit. You know what makes Rick Reilly better than you? While he might be a shitty writer, at least he writes.
