Peyton Manning: A Mystery!
Sports Illustrated ran a story today by Kerry Byrne (you may remember him from the here’s-a-real-sketchy-argument-saying-Jerry-Rice-was-not-the-best-WR-ever column) comparing Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. The upshot of the article is that Tom Brady is better than Peyton Manning. It’s a reasoned argument, and I have no problem with it. People will be debating the two forever, and there are good arguments on both sides, what really caught my attention, though, was the picture on the main page.
It’s, obviously, a picture of Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, and it appears to be from a Pro-Bowl, but, wait. What’s this? Peyton Manning’s wearing a Baltimore Ravens cap? Put on your deer stalker hats, kids, we’ve got a caper on our hands!
They both were Pro-Bowlers in ’04, ’05, ’07, and ’09, although neither played last year, so we’re down to ’04, ’05, and ’07…and they both look pretty young, so I’m kind of arbitrarily eliminating ’07. So, that leaves us ’04 and ’05.
But, even more importantly (or, alternatively, equally as unimportant, but more intriguing), why is Manning wearing a Ravens hat? Really? Please, if anyone knows. Let me know. This is going to bother me. A lot.

i seen that as well, i was wondering too, when was this taken?
I think it’s either ’04 or ’05….the only other option would be 2007, but like I said above, they both look too young for that. Though I could be wrong.
